What this domain used to be

From roughly 2010, safeandmobiledelaware.org hosted the Safe and Mobile Delaware campaign. The Delaware DMV describes that campaign, on its own site today, as “a joint effort to educate older drivers in Delaware about programs and policies that are making the roads safer in Delaware for older Americans and all drivers.” (Delaware DMV)

The campaign is no longer operating and the domain lapsed. We registered it and rebuilt it as an independent public-information resource on the same subject, rather than leave the address to be picked up and used for something unrelated.

What this site is, and is not

It is an independently maintained, non-commercial reference on senior driving in Delaware, written from the state's own published material and linking back to it.

It is not the original campaign, and it does not speak for it. It is not operated by, affiliated with, or endorsed by the Delaware Division of Motor Vehicles, DelDOT, the State of Delaware, the University of Delaware or the Roadway Safety Foundation. No content from the original campaign site has been reproduced here.

How facts are handled

Every figure on this site is attributed to a named source with a link, on the page where it appears. Where a source does not state the year a figure was collected, we say so rather than guess. If you find something on this site that is wrong or out of date, please tell us and it will be corrected or removed.
